Ergon is doing great.
I am getting ready for the Mustang adoption in Mercedes, Tx. It's coming in January. I am also going to get into TIP horses if everything goes as planned.
Well the weather today wasn't real pretty. Rained all day. It was 80 yesterday. It's 52 today and still dropping. Well the horses seem to love it.

Me and Ergon
Well, Ergon hasn't been doing much lately but getting chubby. I have only rode him once since I brought him home and it was this week. I have been really busy training a whole bunch of new horses. No time to rest. I have been training other peoples horses and a few of my own. Currently we have 18 horses. More than half I am training. WOW !!!!! Talk about busy !! Well, Ergon is looking like an Appaloosa more and more everyday. If you want to know what I am talking about he has patches of white hair from his withers back. They are a little smaller than a penny, there are several, and a patch on his rump of about 20 and looks like they are multiplying. Well, I didn't know I bought an Appaloosa Mustang. There could be one other reason he is looking like an Appaloosa, I am training 6 Appaloosas and maybe the spots are jumping off. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got home today at 2:30 p.m. Whoever wasn't at the show, I bet you are wanting to know how it went. Well, first of all, Ergon did a very good job. In the in-hand course he normally doesn't trot, but I worked him just 5 minutes before the course and he picked it up excellent with the new surroundings. He wanted to stay close to me so that really helped. He did better in the in-hand course than I had expected. I scored a 24.5 in the in-hand course. Now the riding course, Ergon did great but I forgot a few of the patterns. Where I was supposed to trot I walked and in the backing I bumped a log. The score was a 19.5. I bought him easy boots before the competition because he had tender front feet. Never had them before and they work wonders. His conditioning score was a 12 which was a little harsh. I placed 20th out of 48 competitors in my division. Overall, I think there were 92 or so total competitors in both divisions. When the auction started I was hip number 46. I ran in at the last minute and got a bidders number, just in case. I gave my bidders card to Trisha, my right hand cowgirl. When I entered the auction ring, I was given a microphone to talk to the crowd to let them know about Ergon. I blanked out at first and mumbled a little and then the main thing I remember is saying "If he doesn't go for much, I am taking him." Well, the bidding war began. Trisha, my Mom and Dad, and 2 other bidders in a war over Ergon. As I was walking towards the gate, the head lady says "You got him", which I didn't know until it was all over. :-)

Well me and Ergon went to the (Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show Arena). in Mercedes Tx. to do Western Pleasure. Well Ergons right front hoof has got tender again. It's because his hooves grow too slow. I think he will need shoes in the near future.

WOW!!! It's only 14 days til competition !!! I was thinking about moving up to Legends but it's too late now. I know Ergon could do it but I just don't know about me !!LOL!! I hope everyone is having a great time training their Mustangs. It's been a pleasure to train this beautiful animal. Good luck to all EMM trainers!! For you trainers who are wanting to keep your Mustangs, good luck to all you guys and gals and I hope you get them.

Me Ergon and Trisha finely went to a Arena to do Team Penning. He acted like he had gone to a Arena every day. Everybody complimented me on Ergons' temperament and they couldn't believe he came out of the WILD just 73 days ago.
