Ergon the Great crossing bridges

Me and Ergon crossing a bridge over the canal. He did so good!! I was trail riding with my sister Trisha and her new Paint. This was about a mile from our house. We rode through wide open fields today that had just been disked. He really enjoyed it and so did I. He opened up his speed in the open fields!! WOW!!!

Trisha and our new Donkey. He is the first one we have owned. He's about 3 1/2 months old. We are not for sure on his name yet. We thought about Konkey or Terminator. Maybe you all could have some suggestions.

Wow, what a time we had doing some sliding stops!!

Been so hot here and no rain yet. We need it so bad. Only 4 1/2 " for the year so far.

It's been a scorcher!! Over a 100 degrees this year for 47 days so far.

The time is flying so fast. I am planning on attending a team penning event with Ergon in the next couple of weeks. The arena work will be great for him.

Ergon sure was hiped up today. His hooves has improved greatly from taking him to the beach. We worked on neck reining today. He does left perfect but when it comes to right he wants to go straight. He was getting dull to leg pressure so I put the spurs on, took it real easy and he took to them perfectly. I even got a couple of sliding stops out of him today. It was 104 today and as you can see in the pic when need some rain. Only thing green now is the weeds !! LOL!!!

Ergon is still takin it a little easy from his sore hooves. The beach helped them out alot. Soft ground and salt water. A perfect combination. Gonna start working on lead changes and more ground work next week. He is willing and ready!!

Ergon taking a bow and enjoying some sweet feed. When I whistle for him he comes runnin into the round pen to eat. What a guy!!!!!
In the last week or so he has had some tender feet. So he's been takin it easyyyyyyyyyy.
